Summer Texas State Road Trip Part IV: San Antonio & Austin- August 2019

You cannot go to San Antonio without stopping by The Alamo. We made a really quick stop here on our way out of town and Madison did get her Junior Ranger badge, I just didn’t get a picture or a video of it.

The sign on the tree branch says, “Watch Your Head.” Madison thought that was pretty funny since I obviously didn’t have a problem clearing it. 😂

After The Alamo we made a stop at Ms. Pearl the squirrel in Cedar Creek, TX. At 14 feet tall she is the largest squirrel statue in the world.

She stands in front of the yummiest stores called the Berdoll Pecan Candy and Gift Company. We enjoyed seeing Ms. Pearl and getting some tasty fudge and pecans.

Our last stop of the trip was the LBJ Presidential Library in Austin.

We started with the traveling exhibit which was Motown.

And then toured the rest of the museum.

And saw the Oval Office as it was when he was in office.

And that wrapped up our Summer of 2019 Texas State Road Trip.
