Summer Texas State Road Trip Part III: San Antonio Continued – August 2019

After leaving the San Antonio River Walk, we headed to Natural Bridge Caverns.

Natural Bridge Caverns is one of the largest caverns in Texas. The views on the tour were astonishing. I wore my hiking sandals for this tour which happen to be the kid’s version because my feet are so small. We had no idea until this day that they had glow-in-the-dark bottoms. 😂 We got a good laugh out of that.

After the tour, we went to the Bracken Bat Cave, where we quietly watched millions of Mexican Tail Free Bats emerge right before our eyes. It was a surreal experience.

They came out of the cave so quickly that I took a couple of videos that I slowed down so you could actually see them.

We had a fun-packed day from sunrise to sunset, starting with the Ridley turtle release, visiting the missions and the river walk, and then the cavern and bats!
