Our Next Adventure Part III: The Harry S. Truman Library and Museum, and National Historic Site – June 2019

Every time we are in the vicinity of a Presidential museum, we make time to visit one. We were able to see the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum in Independence, MO, right before it was shut down for renovation. I am hoping to go back again now that the 29 million dollar renovation is complete.

A neat aspect of each Presidential Library and Museum is they have a replica of the Oval Office as it was during the era the President was there. It is fascinating to see how it changes with each President.

There is so much history in these museums during each Presidency. Harry S. Truman was President from April 12, 1945 – January 20, 1953.

If you ever have the opportunity to visit a Presidential Library and Museum, I highly recommend it!

Madison also completed her Junior Ranger badge at the Harry S. Truman National Historic Site. This is separate from the Presidential Library and Museum.

It was a great visit, and then we traveled back home to the great state of Texas.
